ERIE — An area worship band that started in the throws of the Covid pandemic is inviting the public to attend a free concert and join in celebrating the release of the group’s first album.

The Band 814 is Dave Lefebre's band and passion project when he isn't fishing on the Bass Pro Tour.

“While I have a strong passion for fishing, I believe my real calling has always been to play music. That’s why when COVID hit the world in 2020 and our fishing tournaments were few and far between, I decided to pick my bass guitar back up and begin trying to form a band playing the music that I love — Christian rock.”

The anglers on the MLF Bass Pro Tour are obviously excellent fishermen, but that doesn’t mean it’s their only talent. Take Dave Lefebre for example, who founded the band 814 Worship in the fall of 2020.
